Our Kids Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu program is designed with your child’s growth, confidence, and well-being in mind. We help children develop strong character, self-respect, discipline, and resilience—while staying active, making friends, and having fun in a positive environment.
Through Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, your child will learn practical, age-appropriate self-defense skills and “bully-proofing” strategies that build confidence and emotional strength they can carry into school, sports, and everyday life. At the same time, they will improve coordination, strength, balance, flexibility, and focus in a structured and supportive setting.
Our program also introduces beginner-friendly movement and striking concepts from boxing and kickboxing to help children develop body awareness, footwork, and overall athletic skills in a safe and controlled way.

The VT BJJ Basics Program is designed to give every student a strong, confident foundation in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu. Through structured training, students build balance, coordination, mobility, and agility while developing a clear understanding of Jiu-Jitsu strategy and movement.
Our curriculum focuses on fundamental techniques from every major position, along with the core concepts that support long-term growth and progress. Students learn how to apply control, execute escapes and submissions, perform basic takedowns, and use realistic self-defense skills with confidence.
Training includes a clear introduction to positional hierarchy—such as mount, side control, knee-on-belly, back control, and guard—as well as how to transition between these positions through sweeps, guard passing, and effective movement on the ground.
As students progress, they learn how to maintain control, improve leverage, and apply foundational chokes and arm locks safely and effectively. The Basics Program provides a structured pathway to deeper understanding, technical confidence, and long-term success in Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu.
The BJJ Flow Class is designed to help students develop fluid movement, timing, and technical awareness through relaxed, low-intensity training. Rather than focusing on strength or winning positions, this class emphasizes continuous movement, seamless transitions, and responsiveness—allowing Jiu-Jitsu to feel natural, efficient, and connected.
Through guided flow drills and controlled “flow rolling,” students learn how to move smoothly between positions, adapt to their partner’s reactions, and explore technique with minimal resistance. This approach encourages creativity, deeper technical understanding, and improved timing, while significantly reducing the risk of injury.
The Flow Class is ideal for building body awareness, balance, coordination, and efficiency on the ground. It helps students refine transitions, improve positional awareness, and develop a calm, relaxed approach to training that enhances overall performance in both Gi and No-Gi Jiu-Jitsu.
Open to Blue Belts and higher, the BJJ Flow Class is especially beneficial for recovery days, active rest, and long-term skill development. It’s an opportunity to slow down, move with intention, and experience Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu as a true art—fluid, dynamic, and sustainable.
The VT BJJ Advanced Program is designed for experienced practitioners looking to elevate their technique, strategy, and overall performance. This program offers an in-depth exploration of advanced Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu concepts, helping students refine their game and push their skills to the next level.
Training focuses on advanced guard systems such as De La Riva, Half Guard, X-Guard, Butterfly Guard, K-Guard, and other modern variations. Students work through detailed setups, transitions, guard passing, positional control, and submission sequences, while also training for realistic competition-based scenarios.
The curriculum includes advanced techniques, positional attacks, defenses, escapes from every major position, and live sparring to apply concepts under pressure. Emphasis is placed on timing, efficiency, and intelligent movement—using technique over strength.
The ultimate goal of the Advanced Program is to cultivate maximum efficiency in both attack and defense, while refining the connection between mind and body through disciplined, focused training.
Participation is limited to blue belts and above.
Boxing is a powerful and engaging way to build fitness, confidence, and skill—whether you’re completely new or looking to refine your technique. Our Modern Boxing Program is open to all experience levels, and VT BJJ students may attend at no additional cost.
This program focuses on improving speed, reflexes, endurance, and cardiovascular conditioning while teaching the fundamentals of boxing in a safe and structured way. Students develop footwork, coordination, timing, balance, and striking technique, while also learning strategy, movement, and controlled power.
Our world-class instructors and coaches prioritize safety and create a friendly, low-stress training environment. Every student receives guidance and individual attention to ensure effective training that supports both fitness goals and skill development. No prior boxing or martial arts experience is required.
Beyond physical conditioning, boxing builds mental focus, confidence, and discipline. Students experience benefits that extend well beyond the gym—while enjoying a challenging, motivating, and rewarding training experience.

Our Adult No-Gi Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu class teaches modern Jiu-Jitsu concepts without the gi, helping students adapt fundamental techniques to real-world and competition-based No-Gi situations. This program emphasizes movement, timing, control, and responsiveness while training in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
Students learn essential No-Gi skills including attacks, defenses, escapes, positional control, and submission setups from every major position. Classes also incorporate conditioning, movement drills, takedowns, and practical self-defense concepts to build a well-rounded skill set.
The curriculum introduces controlled, technical striking concepts and develops footwork, coordination, balance, power, and a strong center of gravity. Training focuses on efficient movement both standing and on the ground, helping students build confidence and adaptability at any level.
In addition to technical training, VT BJJ offers conditioning sessions and skill-building drills designed to improve overall athletic performance. Our approach blends Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu fundamentals with elements of wrestling, judo, and Greco-Roman clinch work to create a complete modern grappling experience.

Students learn to maintain control under fatigue, apply effective gripping and guard-passing strategies, sustain dominant positions, and execute submissions with precision.
