SPRING "KUMITE" KIDS TOURNAMENT

SATURDAY, APRIL 15

Registration Fee: $40
Registration Deadline: April 8, 2023

Our Kids Jiu-Jitsu Tournament helps our students to learn how to compete and gain experience. It prepares students for bigger competitions, both in Jiu-Jitsu and in life. What builds emotional stability and maturity is experiencing the ability to face adversity and challenge with an open mind and fighting spirit. Children who build the capacity to face confrontation with confidence, will become adults who are able to persevere in a challenging world.

- Competition is an excellent learning tool for kids to take on the challenge.
- Competing regularly in Jiu-Jitsu helps kids to accept that they can't win all the time – and that it's OK to lose.
- Competing in Jiu-Jitsu, is a perfectly healthy way to express themselves. Additionally, competing in such an event teaches children important life lessons that they may not receive anywhere else.

ABOUT OUR CAMPS:
Our half-day summer camps offer an amazing combination of authentic Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu (BJJ) instruction, self-defense skills, teamwork, fitness, and lots of fun martial arts games. Kids will practice coordination, communication, strategic thinking (think human chess!), confidence-building and other important life skills! We'll also dive into the history of the sport and Brazilian culture. We invite children to learn all about the world of Brazilian Jiu-Jitsu, the most effective martial arts available.

Our martial arts summer camp is open to everyone - no prior martial arts experience is required. Your child's safety is our top concern. Our camp instructors have experience teaching these martial arts to children in a controlled, safe, and friendly environment. Children will only be paired with same peers.

Each camp session will be taught by Master Julio Fernandez (7th Degree Coral Belt, highest rank) with over 20 years of experience teaching children. There's no one more qualified to give your child the best summer experience of their life!

Your child will gain confidence, discipline, respect for others and learn life skills that will help him or her in daily-life situations as well as to grow into a stronger adult.
